The wheels are the standard small-diameter black plastic Zowee wheels mounted on thin wire axles. The scale is significantly smaller than the standard 1:64 Hot Wheels line to accommodate the "micro" play pattern intended for the 1972 release.

CONDITION KILLERS
The primary "Condition Killer" for Goin' Fishing is the plastic fisherman figure. Because the figure is molded into the upper plastic insert, the fishing rod and the figure's head are extremely prone to snapping off during play.
Additionally, the snap-fit tabs that hold the metal base to the plastic top can become brittle over time; if these tabs snap, the model will "rattle" or separate entirely. Chrome loss on the small plastic wheels is also a common occurrence due to the vacuum-metallizing process used in the early 1970s.
